As the year draws to a close, I find myself in deep conversation with love. I often ask love questions like:
How would you respond to this situation right now? What would you say to this person if you had a voice? Can you speak to this, please?
Or simply:
How would you feel about this?
These questions guide me to a part of myself that knows. A part that has direct access to love—the voice of life itself.
So often, this connection is overshadowed by other parts of me. The parts concerned with survival. The parts that worry about what others think or feel about me, whether I am liked or not.
But love... love just loves.
It loves all of it. It loves me, unconditionally. It loves my fears, my insecurities, my pride, my desires. It loves them all into wholeness.
Love sees you, too. It sees and loves everyone, without exception. My friends, my family, the people I hold dear, and you—my students and community. Love sees your shortcomings, your pain, your trauma, and embraces them without needing or wanting anything in return.
Love just loves. It cherishes life in all its diverse expressions. It dances with life’s beauty, its struggles, its joys, and even its horrors. Love invites us to soften, to trust, to open to the knowing that life is inherently good—that it is always for us.
Everything in life, even the painful moments, is an invitation to find our way back to love. To remember that we are not separate from it. That the essence of what we are is only love.
This journey isn’t always easy. Sometimes, love comes as a gentle nudge, and other times as a force that shakes us to the core. But it’s always there, patiently guiding us home—to ourselves, to wholeness, to love.
As we step into a new year, my wish for you is this:
May you feel love’s presence within you, around you, and through you. May you trust its wisdom and its power to heal and transform. And may you be reminded, over and over, that love is your truest nature.
With infinite love,
Esther
